15th August – 18th August: Round the Isle of Mull starting and finishing in Oban.
This adventure will start at 5pm 15th August in Oban from the new, town centre pontoons, just a short walk from the bus and train station. Following crew introductions and a safety briefing, we will set off on a short evening sail so that everyone gets to know each other and Cloud Nine. After dinner and with respect for the forecast, we will discuss our passage plans, whether we go south about or north about Mull. Either way, we expect to visit some very interesting anchorages such as Puilladobhrain (Pool of the Otters) on the Isle of Seil, Tinkers’ Hole on the Ross of Mull, Iona and Staffa, Ulva and the Treshnish Isles, to name but a few. We may also take in a stop at the colourful town of Tobermory, perhaps with a tour of the distillery, before a night’s stop in Lochaline. The trip will end at lunchtime on 18th August in Oban
